Ghusl (Ritual Bath) Guide
Step-by-step guide for men, women, and children. The Prophet (saw) said: "Purity is half of faith." (Sahih Muslim 223)
Make the intention in your heart to purify yourself from major impurity (janabah, menses end, etc.). You do not need to say it aloud. The intention is always internal.
Ghusl includes Wudu - after Ghusl you can pray without doing separate Wudu.
The three Fardh of Ghusl: (1) Rinse the mouth fully, (2) Rinse the nose fully, (3) Pour water over the entire body leaving no dry spot.
Everything else (order, hands first, etc.) is Sunnah - highly recommended but the Ghusl is valid without them.
Nail polish must be removed before Ghusl - it creates a barrier.
After Ghusl, if Wudu is broken (using toilet, etc.), only Wudu is needed before prayer - not a new Ghusl.
A person can perform multiple prayers in one Ghusl - it does not need to be repeated for each prayer.
